Sexual assault can result in pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease, and injury.
Begin The Healing Process
At the YWCA, we understand how difficult a sexual assault or sexual abuse can be and we want to help you heal. Our "New Hope" sexual assault survivor's program provides free, confidential individual and group counseling in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.
Our services are available to any adult who has been recently sexually assaulted or has experienced a sexual assault at any time in their life.
Safety Planning
· Carry a cell phone and keep it charged.
· Keep keys readily accessible.
· Keep a list of contact information of supportive friends, family, and professionals.
· Create a list of emergency phone numbers and resources available.
· Remain aware of your surroundings.
