The YWCA’s Self Sufficiency Program supports women’s education and economic advancement.
With a focus on financial literacy, salary negotiation, and leadership development, we work to help women build stronger financial futures for themselves and their families. All services, including classes, are free of charge, offered in English & Spanish, and are available to both residential and nonresidential YWCA clients in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties.

YWCA North Central Indiana services include:
· Emergency safe shelter for victims of domestic violence
· Safety planning
· Supportive Housing
· Counseling & case management for both adults & children
· Child care
· Access to healthcare services
· Sexual assault counseling
· Economic empowerment classes
· Self-sufficiency education
· Substance Abuse treatment & groups
· Legal Advocacy including help obtaining civil protective orders
· Community educational programs on domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence
